Social Skill Stories for All Children
Social Stories are helpful for all children who are struggling with a particular behavior difficulty or lack of social skill. Once the skill is taught, the social story is read to the child. They illustrate the story and read the story in class or at home when they exhibit difficulty remembering the skill. This technique is proven effective since the child becomes the creator of the story through illustrations as well as reinforcer of the skill.
